This 30th birthday party was a pleasure to plan. I had a very discerning client with great taste and we began with the vision of a Gypset theme. For those unfamiliar with the term, Gypset represents a sophisticated crowd of jetsetters who have the carefree style of bohemian gypsies.
I scoured numerous venues, restaurants and hotels looking for the perfect space. By the end of the venue search we had narrowed it down to 3 options, all of which I am a huge fan of. If you’re looking for an event space definitely check out these options.
- Le Petite Ermitage in West Hollywood
- Il Cielo in Beverly Hills
- Redbird in Downtown
Of the venue choices, my client ended up choosing Redbird. Though this was an unexpected variation of our original vision, she liked that it had an East Coast vibe to the restaurant space.
She carefully selected a delicious gluten-free cake from the Butter End Cakery, we designed the floral arrangements with Twig and Twine and brought in an unexpected element of surprise with an electric violinist who came and performed a set concluding with a Happy Birthday song.
The birthday girl and her guests partied into the early hours of the morning and the restaurant staff had said this was a first for them to stay for the entire duration of the event because it was fun for them. Hope it’s the beginning of an incredible 30th year Sarah!
